‘Timber’ hitmaker Kesha has revealed that she is back in the studio creating brand new music after taking time out to seek treatment for an eating disorder in a rehabilitation centre.

Speaking to MTV News on the set of her new reality TV show, ‘Rising Star, the songstress admitted that while she has been working on some personal issues, she hasn’t toned down her musical style and fans can expect her new material to be ‘trippy’ and ‘different’:

“I’ve been working on some new music and it’s really fun and really different. It can borderline on trippy, a little different, I think people are going to trip out. One song is about being madly in love, and just so sweet, and then telling the guy that, ‘If you cheat on me I’ll shoot you’.”

The beauty finished her treatment back in the spring and told her followers on Twitter that she was so happy to be back enjoying life with a healthy new perspective:

“Happy to be back! Feeling healthy & working on tons of new music/ I can’t thank my fans enough for all the love & support u have given me. Life is beautiful. I’m so blessed to have u all.”

More on Pressparty

The singer is currently busy working on the follow-up to 2013’s ‘Alive’ and she took time out today (June 10) to tease what appears to be fresh lyrics.

She posted: “‘So talk to me oh yeah sweet talker sweet talker’ #jessiejalbum3. ‘Say we got enough of our love to keep us together’.”

Some other potential lines included ‘I can glue back broken glasses but I can’t fix what you were smashing’ and ‘Come and take me baby seal me with a kiss’.

Lana Del Rey admits she “resented” becoming a full-time musician “every day”

Lana Del Rey has opened up on how she deals with negative feedback.

Speaking to Clash magazine, the US star said that after the release of her 2012 major label debut ‘Born To Die’ there were moments where she wanted to give up on her career.

The ‘West Coast’ star said of receiving criticism after her rise to fame and whether she resented becoming a musician:

“All the time. Every day. I didn’t want to do it, ever. You can make music, just for making music – you don’t have to put it on YouTube. That was definitely a viable option for me. I have a lot of passions and making music was always something I would do for fun.

“But from what happened, it wasn’t worth it most of the time. It’s still not really worth all the bullsh*t. But, meeting people like Dan Auerbach, making a record [‘Ultraviolence’] that is perfect for me, and being able to tell my story through music – that is totally amazing. But that is where it begins and ends. Sometimes I meet people who are really cool, but most of the time it isn’t like that.”

Del Rey meanwhile is due to release her new album ‘Ultraviolence’ on June 16.

To be sure Fender is a good investment – U2

U2 stars Bono and The Edge have become directors of guitar business Fender.

The duo will lend their expertise to the company, whose instruments are some of the most recognisable in music.

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation co-chairman Mark Fukunaga said Bono is a “visionary in the music world” whilst guitarist The Edge is an “innovator of unique sounds through his use of technology”.

The singer himself commented: “When a festival-goer wears a Fender t-shirt, they are saying a lot about themselves. They love music, they’re independent-spirited, they’re proud of this truly American company, a nexus of technology and culture which, in the end, can’t be copied no matter how hard the giants try. I’m excited to be part of developing newer technologies with Fender, as well as helping protect the jobs and commitment to excellence of their age-old craft.”

The Edge said: “[This is] something of a kid in a candy store situation for me. I’ve been a fan of Fender guitars from the beginning, playing them on all the most important U2 tours and albums. But I’m most interested in working with the Fender design team on some new ideas.”

The U2 duo will use their creativity to help the business on future projects.

The record is due to be released on February 24 and will act as the follow up to 2010’s critically acclaimed cut, ‘Gold in the Shadow’. Fitzsimmons explained that ‘Lions’ is a body of work that he is incredibly invested in:

“The last couple of years have been… full (kind of difficult to describe year in a single word). They have been wonderful, painful, long, incredibly brief, and more educational and rewarding than any I’ve ever lived before. ‘Lions’ is something I’m terribly proud of and utterly connected to.”

Fitzsimmons comes back to the UK in March for a couple of live dates and at Brighton’s Komedia on March 6 before returning to the capital for a set at The Garage in London on March 7.

During a recent interview with Speakeasy, Fitzsimmons explained that despite becoming a new father he didn’t want his new album to be centred around parenthood: “I didn’t want to make a nursery rhyme or an I-love-my-kids-they’re-awesome record, for two reasons: if you have kids, you don’t need to hear any more about that. And if you don’t, you don’t give a…”
